The Always in My Heart bundle makes a beautiful anniversary card. Using the leftover Petal Pink Floral Heart from yesterday’s card and the new Gilded Leafing from the January-June mini-catalog, I mad this gorgeous card.
Today’s Project
There is so much to love about this card! First, let’s talk about the gorgeous texture on the background! It was created using the Painted Texture embossing folder. This is one of my favorite things from this catalog. I love the way it instantly adds dimension to this card. Can you imagine it brushed with color using the new Blending Brushes? I know I can!
The sentiment was created using the new Gilded Leafing. I LOVE this stuff. To use it, you need to lay down a tacky adhesive (heat & stick powder, multi-purpose glue, or tear n tape) and then press the Gilded Leafing onto the sticky. Then brush away the excess with a stencil brush or an old, soft toothbrush and you get this gorgeous, sparkly effect.
For my sample, I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink. Then I sprinkled Heat n Stick powder over the Versamark. Then I used my heat tool to heat the powder until it just disappears, taking care not to overheat it. Finally, I pressed the Gilded Leafing on the sentiment and brushed away the excess. It’s so pretty! The photo doesn’t really do it justice!
Today’s Color Palette
Today’s color palette is quite simple, Whisper White, Petal Pink, and Gold.
Make The INSIDE PRetty
Once again, I didn’t get a picture of the inside! But let me describe it for you. The top one and a half inches was embossed with the Painted Texture embossing folder. I did this by only putting part of the Basic White layer in the embossing folder. Below it I ran a strip of Tear n Tape. I took off the top layer from the tape, pressed the Gilded Leafing to it, and brushed off the excess. Then I added a medium Petal Pink heart from the January Paper Pumpkin kit on the embossed surface. So pretty!
Don’t Forget the Envelope
Because the card was so ornate, I kept the envelope simple. I stamped 3 small hearts on the front with Petal Pink ink. It was just enough as you can see in the picture below.
Here’s one last look at the card showing some of the products I used.
